New Zealand national museum "Te Papa" re-opened on Thursday after closing for more than two months to protect the public from the risk of COVID-19. The national museum closed on March 20. The 68-day closure is the longest in the museum's history. At Te Papa on Thursday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that the museum will receive an additional 18 million New Zealand dollars (11 U.S. dollars) of government funding for the financial year 2020-2021. This will help maintain Te Papa's core operations and critical infrastructure after the impacts of COVID-19, Ardern said. (Xinhua/Guo Lei)
