Taogerile, 77, is the leading inheritor of horse hair-embroidered Thangka in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. She said she inherited the workmanship from her grandpa and her mother. Worried about the dying culture, Taogerile has been devoted to the inheritance of the traditional artistry. The complicated embroidery was designated as a poverty-alleviation program in Alxa Left Banner.
