BANGKOK, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The Thai government on Thursday released a list of hotels under the Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) scheme, which offers travelers to Thailand an alternative to state quarantine facilities.

The hotels, which have been approved by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Defence, cover a wide price bracket ranging from 32,000 baht (1,035 U.S. dollars) to 144,000 baht (4,700 U.S. dollars) for the two-week quarantine.

The cheapest ASQ hotel on the list charges about 2,300 baht (74 U.S. dollars) per night while the most expensive option is more than 10,000 baht (324 U.S. dollars) per night.

The Ministry of Public Health said it had allowed top star hotels in Thailand to participate in the ASQ scheme, as many travelers who have returned to Thailand complained about the poor facilities of state quarantine provided by the government. Enditem
