Thanks to China's poverty relief efforts, improved school facilities have confirmed the resolve of Wei Xuxi, who has spent over 30 years teaching, in rural education in S China's Guangxi.
WUXUAN, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Wei Xuxi, a 57-year-old teacher of Ertang Town in Wuxuan County, has spent over 30 years teaching in the countryside after graduating from high school in 1985.

There are 32 students in two grades in Shuanggui Primary School, a small-scale school where Wei works. Instead of dilapidated buildings, or broken tables and chairs, multimedia and many other advanced teaching equipment make the school far from poor and facilitate Wei's teaching.

"Schooling in rural areas improved a lot through poverty relief efforts," said Wei. "Education can change the fate of these students. For the sake of the children, I am willing to devote my life to my role."
