QINGDAO, June 25 (Xinhua) -- The 214cm-tall center Wang Zhelin collected 22 points and 14 rebounds to help the Fujian Sturgeons beat the Shandong Heroes 93-84 on Thursday in the regular season of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.
After an 8-8 tie, Fujian launched an 11-0 run and established a 14-point lead in the first quarter.
Shandong fought back and narrowed the gap to eight points in the second quarter.
Fujian started another 14-5 run and enlarged the advantage to 17 points with four points from Ty Lawson.
Shandong still couldn't improve its shooting percentage and fell 19 points behind before the last quarter. Although Shandong managed to launch an 11-6 in the fourth quarter, there was not enough time for them to turn the tables.
Lawson grabbed 23 points for Fujian, Huang Yichao contributed 19 points and Chen Linjian had 13 points.
On the Shandong side, Tao Hanlin got 19 points, Li Jingyu finished with 15 points, and Jia Cheng added 12 points. Enditem
