SEOUL, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Five people were found dead and eight others injured as fire broke out at a distribution center in South Korea's city of Yongin, local media reported Tuesday citing the firefighting authorities.

The fire broke out at about 8:29 a.m. Tuesday local time from the logistics center, a four-story building with five underground floors, in Yongin, south of the capital Seoul, in Gyeonggi province.

Of the combined 69 workers inside the building, five were found dead on the fourth basement. Eight others were wounded, with one being in a critical condition.

The flare was extinguished about two hours later. Police and firefighting authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
