ULAN BATOR, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia reported no new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, marking the third consecutive day without new cases, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said Saturday.
"We tested a total of 306 people for COVID-19 yesterday, including two suspected cases of COVID-19 in Zamiin-Uud soum of Mongolia's southeastern province of Dornogovi and the results were all negative," Dulmaa Nyamkhuu, head of the NCCD, said at a daily press conference.
Meanwhile, five more patients have recovered from the disease, raising the total to 230, Nyamkhuu added.
Mongolia has registered a total of 291 confirmed cases, which are all imported, mostly from Russia, according to the center.
No local transmissions or deaths have been reported in the country so far. Enditem
