QINGDAO, China, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Ducks thrashed the Fujian Sturgeons 107-75 in the quarterfinals of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) playoffs here on Sunday.
Beijing established a 62-28 lead in the first half, as Jeremy Lin and Ekpe Udoh combined for 33 points.
The Ducks knocked down 53.3 percent of their field goals in the first two quarters, while their opponents managed only a mediocre 18.2 percent.
The Sturgeons failed to mount further resistance, seeing the Ducks sail to victory.
Beijing will face the defending champions Guangdong Southern Tigers in the best-of-three semifinals.
Lin finished with a game-high 26 points and five assists, Udoh contributed 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Fang Shuo got 19 points.
On Fujian side, center Wang Zhelin got a team-high 20 points as well as 20 rebounds, Ty Lawson grabbed 19 points, and Chen Linjian added 11 points.
"We invested a lot of effort on preparing for this game, and the players followed our plan very well as we restricted our opponents' three-pointers successfully," said Xie Libin, acting coach of Beijing.
