JAKARTA, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 2,277 within one day to 123,503, with the death toll adding by 65 to 5,658, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.
According to the ministry, 1,749 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 79,306.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 686 new cases, East Java 429, West Java 240, South Sulawesi 107, North Sumatra 101 and Central Java 88.
No more new positive cases were found in six provinces, namely Aceh, Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi and Papua. Enditem
