China's Xinjiang has set up multiple mobile PCR laboratories in its remote areas to promote local nucleic acid collection and testing capabilities, with 30,000 tests conducted daily in each lab. Xinjiang Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture has purchased 8 mobile PCR laboratories, costing 13 million yuan (nearly 1.9 million U.S. dollars). One of them is being used in Shangku Industrial Park, which houses nearly 10,000 employees of 150 companies. On-site testing is also provided to trans-provincial cargo drivers in a few minutes for free. No new confirmed COVID-19 cases or asymptomatic cases were reported in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Monday, the regional health commission said Tuesday in its daily report. By Monday, Xinjiang had 34 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 14 asymptomatic cases, all in the regional capital Urumqi, and 725 people were still under medical observation.
