BISHKEK, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Fifteen political parties in Kyrgyzstan have registered for parliamentary elections slated for Oct. 4, authorities said Friday.
The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan registered 1,912 candidates from the 15 political parties to compete in the race, its report said.
Among all of the candidates, 618 are women, accounting for 32.32 percent of the total, the report said.
The Central Election Commission accredited some representatives of international organizations to observe the elections.
Besides, 210 media organizations have been accredited to cover the event in the Central Asian country.
The Kyrgyz parliament has 120 seats with members elected for a five-year term by party-list proportional voting. The previous parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan on Oct. 4, 2015. Enditem
