SUZHOU, China, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin Teda became the first team to book a spot in the Final B of the Chinese Super League this season after 10 rounds as they suffered the worst performance in the league history after a 2-0 defeat to Beijing Guoan here on Thursday.

The 16 teams were divided into two groups this season, with the top four teams in each group moving into Final A for the race of champion while the bottom four falling into Final B for the 9th to the 16th places.

Teda only collected one point in the starting night rounds before Thursday's game, while Guoan had a shaky performance as the capital-based team only managed one victory in the recent five rounds.

Guoan broke the deadlock in the 30th minute as the ball fell for Zhang Yuning after a series of ricochets, who turned around and finished with a low-strike.

Guoan extended the lead just three minutes after the break as Teda's clearance went into the path of Renato Augusto who bent a curler into the top corner.

Teda's Liu Ruofan had the ball into the net in the 62nd minute but it was wiped out as Liu had fouled in the build-up.

Guoan collect 21 points after 10 rounds while Teda sit at the bottom with one.
