BEIRUT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The explosion at a warehouse in Beruit on Friday night has killed four and wounded more than 50 others, al-Jadeed TV channel reported.
The warehouse blast in Tariq El Jdide neighborhood also caused the explosion of a petrol tank that led to massive fire in the area, al-Jadeed said.
The owner of the warehouse had stored petrol there and was arrested, it added.
Civil Defense teams are saving those trapped in their houses affected by the explosion and the fire. Some of the injured children suffer severe burns, the TV channel said.
Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan has urged all hospitals to receive the injured and treat them at the expense of the ministry.
The cause of the explosion is not yet identified. Enditem
