Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake located in the eastern province of Jiangxi, sees the first group of migratory birds 11 days earlier than that of last year. More than 26,000 birds of over 30 species have reached Poyang Lake to go through the upcoming winter. Dubbed a "paradise for migratory birds," Poyang Lake is an important wintering area for waterbirds in Asia.
