SINGAPORE, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- More than 40 Singapore businesses are to participate in the third China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2020 to be held in Shanghai earlier November, according to a press statement issued Monday.
The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is leading more than 40 Singapore businesses to join in the CIIE, said a joint press statement from SBF and Bank of China (BOC) Singapore Branch, which is SBF's sole financial service partner in relation to the CIIE.
This will be the third consecutive year that Singapore businesses are showcasing their products and services at the CIIE, with 73 percent of the businesses as returning participants.
CIIE 2020 marks the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic that Singapore businesses are participating at an international trade show "with such a large-scale showing," said the statement.
The SBF will also host the third Singapore-China Trade and Investment Forum (SCTIF) on November 6 for Singapore and Chinese businesses as part of CIIE 2020, said the press statement.
SBF has expanded collaboration this year with its CIIE sole financial service partner, Bank of China (BOC) Singapore Branch, according to the statement.
Lim Ming Yan, chairman of SBF, said, "Despite the global economic downturn, I am heartened that Singapore businesses continue to show unwavering interest in the Chinese market." Enditem
