ISTANBUL, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police detained on Friday 13 suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) militant group in operations across the country, state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
In the northern province of Samsun, anti-terror teams captured eight Iraqi nationals, and the operations are continuing to catch three others, Anadolu said.
In simultaneous operations conducted in the western province of Izmir, police detained five suspects for their alleged links to a senior IS member who was previously arrested in the southern province of Adana.
The IS was blamed for a series of deadly attacks in Turkey since 2015. Enditem
