BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- War film "The Sacrifice" continued to lead the Chinese mainland's daily box office chart on Saturday, generating 25.51 million yuan (about 3.85 million U.S. dollars).
That brought the film's total box office revenue since its Oct. 23 release to roughly 971 million yuan, the China Movie Data Information Network said on Sunday.
Set during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film was co-directed by Guan Hu, also the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred."
"PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups," an animated movie based on its eponymous cartoon TV series, ranked second, grossing about 16.15 million yuan on its second day in theaters.
Coming in third was U.S. superhero film "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen," which raked in about 13.45 million yuan on its sixth day in cinemas. Enditem
