MOSCOW, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Russia has registered 20,985 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total to 1,991,998, the country's COVID-19 response center said in a statement Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 456 new deaths were reported, taking the nationwide count to 34,387.
Moscow, the country's worst-hit region, reported 4,174 new cases, taking its tally of infections to 526,630, the response center said.
According to the statement, 1,501,083 people have recovered, including 25,179 over the past day.
So far, over 70 million tests have been conducted across the country. Enditem
