HANOI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Do Thi Ha, a 20-year-old university student from central Vietnam's province of Thanh Hoa, has been crowned Miss Vietnam 2020 after topping the Vietnamese beauty contest.
A student of Vietnam's National Economics University in Vietnamese capital Hanoi, the 1.75-meter-tall girl outperformed 34 other contestants at the pageant's final round held in southern Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City on Friday night.
Miss Vietnam has been held biennially since 1988 by Vietnamese daily newspaper Tien Phong (Pioneer), promoting beauty, knowledge and kindness. After 32 years with 16 editions, Miss Vietnam has emerged as the country's most prestigious national beauty contest.
