SUVA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Fiji reported on Monday night four more imported COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active COVID-19 cases to seven in the island nation.
According to a statement by Fiji's Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) on Monday night, the four new border quarantine COVID-19 cases are Fijian citizens who arrived in the island nation on a repatriation flight from Auckland, city of New Zealand on Nov. 26.
The four new cases, a 28-year-old female and 58-year-old male who had travelled from Kenya, a 36-year-old male travelling from Mali, and a 53-year-old male travelling from France, were under strict border quarantine conditions after arriving in Nadi, Fiji's third largest city.
Currently, they have been isolated at a hospital in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city and they are all in stable condition.
Fiji, which now has 42 COVID-19 cases overall, reported its first confirmed COVID-19 case on March 19 this year and two COVID-19 patients have died.
The island nation still maintains a strict travel restriction for foreign visitors as it also keeps a nationwide curfew effective from March 30. Enditem
