JAKARTA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah was confirmed positive for COVID-19, the Manpower Ministry's spokesman Soes Hindharno said here Thursday.
"The test result shows that (the minister) is COVID-19 positive but she is physically healthy, meaning she has no fever, nothing to worry, Hindharno told Antara news agency by phone.
He further said after getting confirmed positive for COVID-19, the minister followed protocols by undergoing isolation and quarantine.
The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 8,369 within one day to 557,877, with the death toll adding by 156 to 17,355, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
According to the ministry, 3,673 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 462,553. Enditem
