HAIKOU, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The 3rd Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) opened Saturday in Sanya, a resort city in south China's Hainan Province.
A total of 189 films from about 60 countries and regions will be screened in the eight-day festival.
HIIFF will select officially recommended films, feature films, documentaries and short fiction movies, with 32 films from Europe, North America, South America, Asia and other areas.
First held in 2018, the film festival is jointly hosted by the China Media Group and the Hainan provincial government. Enditem
