ZHUJI, China, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Dominique Jones made his season debut to lead the Jilin Northeast Tigers past the Beijing Royal Fighters 109-101 in the second phase of the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Wednesday, putting an end to Beijing's four-game winning streak.
Jones scored a game-high 40 points, plus 13 rebounds and seven assists. Jiang Weize pocketed 25 points, while Jiang Yuxing had 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Zhang Fan of Beijing finished with 28 points, while Yu Changdong added 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Jilin took the lead from the start and grabbed a six-point advantage before entering the halftime break. Beijing strengthened its defense and bounced back in the last quarter.
Jilin will next play Xinjiang on Friday. Enditem
