ZHUJI, China, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- With six players contributing double-digit points, Shanxi smashed Beijing 110-95 to extended its winning streak to three in the 2020-21 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Thursday.
Shanxi was in control from the outset, building a 15-point advantage by the end of the first quarter to lead 33-17 and remaining in front for the rest of the game. Jamaal Franklin had a knockout performance, contributing 14 points, six rebounds and six assists this quarter.
Beijing was unstable on both ends as Shanxi players continued their hot hands at the second quarter, extending the lead to 27 points by the end of the first half.
Beijing hit a 15-6 run in the last quarter before Shanxi regained control to cruise to the victory.
Franklin was Shanxi's standout with 21 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, while Yuan Shuai added 20 on the scoreboard, shooting four of 10 outside the arc.
Jonathan Gibson was the only starter scoring in double-digits for Beijing. Fang Shuo had 25 off the bench.
