BISHKEK, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's COVID-19 cases reached 77,674 on Monday as 318 new cases were registered across the country over the past 24 hours.
The capital city Bishkek remains the worst-hit region in the country with 126 newly confirmed cases, bringing the city's total to 26,377, said the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
So far 70,450 COVID-19 patients have recovered or been discharged from hospital, while 2,087 others are currently receiving treatment in hospital and 2,951 receiving treatment at home.
The pandemic has so far claimed the lives of 1,312 Kyrgyz people, including five in the past 24 hours.
The country conducted 1,286 coronavirus tests over the past day, the headquarters said.
Kyrgyzstan has been fighting COVID-19 since March 18.
