Tianjin Port, an important shipping hub in north China, has implemented a variety of technical innovations in 2020 to bolster the port's operation and support China's new development pattern of "dual circulation." The north area of Tianjin Port has successfully transformed from traditional container terminals to unmanned automatic ones. Due to the adoption of 3D visual recognition and positioning devices, the locking procedure can be automatically conducted by robots. The recognition time has been reduced from 6 seconds to 3 seconds, while the recognition rate has reached more than 95 percent.
