The Honghe Bridge in south China's Guangdong Province opened to traffic on Tuesday. The bridge consists of two double-pylon cable-stayed bridges with a span of 500 meters. It has six lanes and runs a length of 9.6 km. It has a design speed of 100 km/h. The construction of the bridge has taken around four years. It is a key part of the Hezhou-Gaolan Port Highway. The 35-km highway links the west bank of the Pearl River estuary and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
