VIENTIANE, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two more COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from hospital in Lao capital Vientiane on Wednesday, according to Lao Ministry of Health.
Director General of the Department of Communicable Disease Control under Lao Ministry of Health, Rattanaxay Phetsouvanh, told a press conference that the 34th and 38th infected case in the country were permitted to return home after tested negative for the virus in the second round of testing.
Both of them were treated in designated hospital, Mittaphab Hospital (Hospital 150) in Vientiane.
The Lao Ministry of Health advised that every person must fully comply with the government guideline and adapt to new normal to stop the spread of the virus.
On Tuesday, a total of 2,418 people entered Laos through international border checkpoints. The temperature of each person was checked and no one showed signs of fever.
As of Wednesday, Laos has tested 86,028 suspected cases with 41 cases tested positive, and 36 patients have recovered.
Another five cases are being treated in the designated hospital. Enditem
