MEXICO CITY, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Reigning Mexican champions Leon on Friday announced the signing of Chile international forward Victor Davila for the 2021 Liga MX season.
The 23-year-old joins the club from Pachuca, with whom he scored nine goals in 56 appearances over two years.
"Here we start a new season full of spirit and ready for what lies ahead. Welcome, Victor Davila," Leon said in a brief social media post.
Capped twice for Chile's national team, Davila's career has also included spells at Huachipato and Necaxa.
Leon secured their eighth Liga MX title by beating Pumas UNAM 3-1 on aggregate in the Apertura tournament final last Sunday (Dec. 13).
The Liga MX Clausura tournament is scheduled to begin on January 7. Enditem
