JERUSALEM, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- An official Israeli delegation departed from Israel to Morocco on Tuesday, in a first direct flight since the two countries agreed to normalize ties.
The El Al flight took off from the Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv and will land in Rabat, a government spokesman told Xinhua.
The Israeli group is headed by Israel's National Security Advisor Meir Ben Shabbat and was joined by Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump's senior advisor.
The group will meet with Moroccan officials to sign a series of agreements.
Ben Shabbat said the goal of the trip is to put the normalization agreement into practice, according to a statement issued on his behalf. Enditem
