RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Four people died after a small plane crashed in a rural area in the central region of Parana state in southern Brazil, the Civil Defense announced Tuesday.
According to authorities, the aircraft fell into a river between the cities of Roncador and Mato Rico on Tuesday morning for reasons still unknown.
According to mass media group Grupo Globo, the accident might have been caused by an electrical storm that hit the region.
The four killed were the pilot, his wife and their two daughters.
The Cessna 177B plane had left Parana's Goioere in the early hours of the morning and was flying to the state's coast. Enditem
