CAIRO, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Egypt condemned on Wednesday the deadly explosions that targeted Aden's airport in southern Yemen right after the arrival of a new power-sharing government from Saudi Arabia.
Egypt stressed that such "despicable terrorist acts" will not discourage the new Yemeni government from moving forward with its tasks to restore state institutions, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Cairo also reaffirmed its position to support Yemen in its struggle to restore security and stability, achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people, and confront all forms of terrorism and its supporters, the statement added.
Egypt expressed solidarity with the Yemeni government and people, offered its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
Three massive explosions rocked the Aden International Airport in southern Yemen on Wednesday minutes after a plane carrying the new power-sharing government members from Saudi Arabia landed at the airport, killing at least 20 people. Enditem
