BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- China's output of machine-made paper and paperboard rose 8 percent year on year to a record 11.83 million tonnes in November of 2020, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
During the first 11 months last year, the country's total output edged up 0.5 percent from the previous year to 105.08 million tonnes.
The country's paper and paperboard production has staged a quick recovery since June last year. In October last year, the output increased 8.1 percent year on year, the fastest monthly growth since March 2016.
Data also showed that the country's newsprint output jumped 13.5 percent year on year to 84,000 tonnes in November last year. ■
