BEIRUT, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe on Thursday urged the safe return of the Syrian refugees to their homeland, saying their presence in Lebanon is weighing heavily on the country's economy, the National News Agency reported.
"The presence of Syrian refugees is affecting Lebanon's economy and the stability of its society," Wehbe said during his online meeting with a delegation of the French Senate.
The meeting discussed ways to help Lebanon through its deteriorating economic situation. Enditem
