CHANGCHUN, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The public security bureau of Changchun in northeast China's Jilin Province started night patrol work in 2011. More than 500 police officers and over 130 police cars patrol the streets every night, performing the functions of emergency response, public security management, dispute mediation, rescue services and so on.
China will mark its first national police day on Jan. 10 this year.
