NAIROBI, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese pay television company, StarTimes on Thursday said that it will broadcast a program -- "Look to the East" that seeks to boost Sino-Africa relations.
StarTimes said in a statement that in recent years, the continent's engagement with China has progressively grown, with different African countries engaging China on diverse spheres.
"To further build understanding on communication between Africa and China in matters of culture, industrial collaboration and economic development, the program, 'Look to the East' is broadcasting on StarTimes Guide Channel," it said.
The Chinese firm said that the program seeks to demystify the culture between Africa and China.
StarTimes said that the TV show will also illustrate the growing industrial collaborations between the two regions.
The program will also showcase some practical examples of alleviating poverty using techniques of China including the planting of coffee beans in Yunnan province.
The pay-television company observed that Africa is an integral part of international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative as 46 African countries as well as the African Union Commission have already signed on to the project. Enditem
