Sun Hong operates a crane on a project of the subway Line No.5 in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, Jan. 28, 2021. Jia Deku and Sun Hong, a couple born in the 1980s and from Luoshan County of central China's Henan Province, are constructors of the subway Line No. 5 in Hefei. They are away from hometown for work and rarely have the chance to look after their children. In the past few years, the couple returned hometown during the Spring Festival for family reunion. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are proposed to stay in Hefei for the festival. Though feeling sorry for their children, the couple believes that as long as they love each other, they are together no matter where they are. To curb the spread of the coronavirus during the holiday period, China issued a plan to reduce mass gatherings and strengthen epidemic control, with measures such as advocating off-peak travel and encouraging people to stay put during the holiday.
