MACAO, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- About 2,000 people in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) have been inoculated with mainland-made COVID-19 vaccines as of 4:00 p.m. local time Wednesday, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center of Macao.

No adverse reactions caused by inoculation of the vaccines have been reported so far, the center said.

A total of around 10,000 people have made reservations for inoculation, 4,300 of whom fall into the category of prioritized groups, including the 2,000 who had already been inoculated, the center added.

Prioritized groups include frontline workers in anti-epidemic efforts, groups that are at high risk in terms of occupational exposure, and those who need to visit epidemic-struck regions.

Currently, Macao has 12 medical facilities with a capacity of offering vaccination to 5,000 people on a daily basis, according to the center. Enditem
