SAN JOSE, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese embassy in Costa Rica on Monday delivered a donation of vehicles and police equipment in a special ceremony at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security in the capital San Jose.
The ambassador of China to Costa Rica, Tang Heng, was in charge of the donation to Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado, accompanied by the Minister of Exterior Relations Rodolfo Solano and the Minister of Public Security Michael Soto.
President Alvarado thanked the government and the people of China for this new collaboration for the security of Costa Rica, which he said offers an opportunity for the public force to achieve their goals.
Among the donations are helmets, bulletproof vests, and anti-explosive shawls, in addition to 100 motorcycles.
