Brazil's daily COVID-19 death toll tops 1,600 for 4 consecutive days

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Brazil on Friday registered more than 1,600 COVID-19 deaths for the fourth day in a row, reporting 1,800 new deaths and 75,495 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Brazil has so far reported a total of 10,869,227 cases with 262,770 deaths, according to official data.

Brazil has the world's second highest COVID-19 death toll, after the United States, and the third largest caseload, after the United States and India. Enditem
