Chinese loans have propelled Serbia's infrastructural development rather than adding its public debt burden, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said.
The president made the remarks during an inspection tour of the construction of the Preljina-Pozega section of the E-763 highway by a Chinese company.
Vucic inspected the construction work near the city of Cacak, at the tunnel Laz which stretches through the Jelica Mountain, together with the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo and Serbia's Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic.
The Serbian part of the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway will stretch across 270 kilometers, where it will connect to the 180-km Bar-Boljare highway in Montenegro.
