Asia Album: Nepal's historical Dharahara tower rebuilt

KATHMANDU, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Located in Kathmandu and built in 1832, the the nine-storey, 61.88-meter-tall Dharahara Tower is part of the city's historical architecture recognized by UNESCO.

Most of the tower collapsed on April 25, 2015 during the 7.8-magnitude earthquake although the base remains.

The reconstruction of Dharahara started in 2018 and the newly-built 21-storey building is scheduled to be inaugurated on April 24.
