BEIRUT, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon registered on Monday 249 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 528,457, the Health Ministry reported.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus went up by 21 to 7,345 in the country.
Lebanese Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan said he expects 60 percent of the Lebanese to be vaccinated by September 2021.
Health experts have been calling on the Lebanese to register for vaccination in a bid to reach herd immunity as soon as possible. Enditem
