BEIRUT, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan said Thursday that Lebanon will start exporting medicines to Iraq, the National News Agency reported.
Hassan explained following his meeting with officials from the Iraqi Health Ministry that Iraq will send lists of needed medicines to Lebanon.
He added that Lebanon will work on boosting the manufacturing of high quality medicines to be able to export to Iraq and other countries.
Lebanon and Iraq agreed earlier this year, during a visit of Iraqi Health Minister Hassan al-Tamimi to Lebanon, to form a joint team enabling the two countries to boost cooperation in the health field. Enditem
