ZHENGZHOU, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Huangfanqu farm, established in 1951, is one of the first mechanized state-owned farms since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Now the Huangfanqu farm, with an area of about 7,000 hectares, sees the comprehensive mechanization level of farm work reaching 99 percent.
Farmers here are making every effort to increase crop yields and transforming this once inhospitable place into fertile high-quality farmland.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of Huangfanqu farm's establishment. The farm welcomes one more bumper harvest season with about 58,900 tons of wheat.
