MOSCOW, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A ceremony was held in Moscow on Saturday to welcome the Chinese national ice hockey team arriving in Moscow.
The hockey team will train in Russia in preparation for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
During the training camp which lasts until mid-December, 35 male players will compete in about 50 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games and 30 female players will participate in some 40 Russian Women's Hockey League (WHL) games.
The training camp is expected to improve the players' technical and tactical skills and enrich their experience, said Wang Xuan, who leads the team. ■
