China smashed Chinese Taipei in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup on Tuesday, leading Group B after two games played.
AMMAN, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The top-ranked Chinese team on Tuesday smashed Chinese Taipei 124-50, recording its second straight win in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2021 held in Jordan.
With two victories, China jointly leads Group B with Australia, who beat the Philippines 120-56 on Tuesday. China will face Australia on Wednesday.
During Tuesday's game, Chinese center Li Yueru took 20 points, while Han Xu was the top performer in the game with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Elsewhere in Group A, Japan fended off New Zealand 62-50, South Korea crushed India 107-69.
Eight participants at the FIBA Women's Asia Cup were divided into two groups of four teams each. Group winners will advance directly to the semifinals which will be held on October 2.
