CHINGOLA, Zambia, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Zambians have commended Chinese doctors for their commitment to being part of the coronavirus sensitization program in Zambia.
This came after the Chinese doctors announced last Saturday that they are ready to assist in the sensitization program on coronavirus.
"We are happy that our Chinese colleagues have expressed interest in being part of the sensitization program on coronavirus in Zambia, this is a positive development," Mwangala Mubiana, a health practitioner of Chingola said.
Mubiana said Chinese nationals were committed to duty and their joining the sensitization team in Zambia is a welcome development.
Mubiana called on health personnel to learn from the Chinese while they are in the country.
"As health practitioners, we are looking forward to learning from the Chinese doctors who are currently in the country," she said.
Mubiana said Zambian government's plan to hold a stakeholders meeting on coronavirus is a step in the right direction.
Morgan Mulenga, a Chingola-based resident also commended the Chinese health personnel that their participation in the sensitization on coronavirus is a welcome move.
Mulenga called on other stakeholders to come on board and assist the Zambian government in sensitizing the public on COVID-19.
