RABAT, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI granted pardons on Tuesday to 761 people on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday, the Moroccan Justice Ministry said in a statement.
Eid al-Adha, or feast of sacrifice, is one of the most significant Islamic festivals of the year. Like several other Arab countries, Morocco has a tradition to grant pardons to prisoners on Eid al-Adha.
