GHAZNI, Afghanistan, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Two people including a district police chief were killed in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan's Ghazni province on Wednesday, provincial governor's spokesman Aref Nuri said.
"A mine planted by militants struck the vehicle of Qadir Shah, the chief of police for Khogiani district in Ghazni city today, killing him and one of his bodyguards on the spot," Nuri told Xinhua.
Without providing more details, the official said investigation is underway.
